On May 21, the "Yong'an" shield machine of the Guifengshan Tunnel of the Zhuhai-Zhaoqing High-speed Railway, invested and constructed by the Zhuhai-Zhaoqing Railway Company under the Railway Investment Group, exceeded 3,000 meters of excavation, with less than 1,000 meters left to complete the excavation, marking a major progress in the construction of the Guifengshan Tunnel.
The Guifengshan Tunnel is 15.155 kilometers long, of which the 4th section of the shield is 3,963.5 meters long. The largest domestic EPM dual-mode shield "Yong'an" with a diameter of 14.29 meters is used for excavation. The minimum burial depth of the shield tunnel is about 51 meters, and the maximum burial depth is about 90 meters. The geology situation is complex, and it faces problems such as crossing weathering troughs, crossing Jiangdu East Road and under-construction sites. At the same time, there are characteristics such as tight construction period and interweaving of multiple risk sources. The construction is difficult and the risk is high.
In order to successfully remove obstacles and complete the excavation task safely and efficiently, Zhuhai-Zhaoqing Railway Company organized the construction units to set up a large shield technology research group to carry out scientific research around the construction technology problems. At the same time, in view of the situation of crossing geologically poor areas, crossing under roads and construction sites with multiple risks, geological re-exploration and surface grouting reinforcement were carried out in advance to grasp the changes in geological conditions, formulate special construction plans, and communicate and coordinate with the construction sites under construction to avoid cross-operation.
In the next step, Zhuhai-Zhaoqing Railway Company will strengthen safety and quality supervision, deepen technological innovation, and fully promote shield excavation to ensure that the shield section of Guifengshan Tunnel is completed as scheduled, and take practical actions to promote the early completion and opening of Zhuhai-Zhaoqing High-speed Railway, and help build a "Greater Bay Area on Track".
Zhuhai-Zhaoqing High-speed Railway is the first high-speed railway with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour independently invested, constructed and managed by Guangdong Province. It is an important strategic high-speed railway for coordinated and high-quality development on both sides of the Pearl River. It connects Zhuhai, Jiangmen, Foshan, and Zhaoqing. The main line is connected to the planned Pearl River Delta Hub Airport, of which the Jiangmen to Pearl River Delta Hub Airport section has become an important part of the Shenzhen-Nanning High-speed Railway. After the project is completed, it will connect Jiangmen Station with the Pearl River Delta Hub Airport to achieve seamless connection between rail and aviation. The fastest time from Zhuhai to the Pearl River Delta Hub Airport is 35 minutes, and the fastest time from Zhuhai to Zhaoqing is 36 minutes. The major cities along the Pearl River Delta will be accessible within one hour. It is of great significance to implement the requirements of Guangdong Province to build a strong transportation province, accelerate the construction of the "12312" travel transportation circle, and assist in the implementation of the "Hundreds of Millions of Projects".
